Growing Hearts Through Stories

There are moments in life that feel small on the surface but hold an entire world inside them. For me, one of those moments is curling up on the couch with my grandsons, a picture book open across our laps, and enjoying the rhythm, rhyme, illustrations, and joy of a story.

Last week, as we settled into our favorite reading spot, I watched their little faces light up with curiosity and joy. One pointed to the bright yellow bus on the page, the other leaned in closer, eager not to miss a single detail. It reminded me—yet again—why Storytime with Nonna - Kindness & Stories exists.

It’s not just about reading books. It’s about growing kindness, nurturing connection, and creating a space where children feel safe, loved, and seen.

Why Stories Matter

Stories help children understand the world long before they have the words to explain it. Through characters, narration, and gentle lessons, they learn:

• how to be kind

• how to share

• how to listen

• how to be brave

• how to understand their own feelings

And when we read together—snuggled close, turning pages slowly—they learn something even more important: that they belong.

The Heart of Storytime with Nonna

Every video I create, every book I choose, and every activity I design is rooted in the same intention: to help children grow into compassionate, confident humans.

Reading with my grandsons reminds me that kindness begins at home, in the everyday moments—on the couch, in the kitchen, in the car, at bedtime. When children see kindness modeled, they naturally begin to live it.

And so, Storytime with Nonna is my way of sharing that love with families everywhere. Whether you’re watching from across the world or reading along at home, you’re part of this circle of stories and heart.
